Getting Started with Applyday

Applyday is a Chrome extension that adds a smart toolbar to every job posting you visit. Here's how to install it:

1. Visit the Applyday Chrome Web Store page
2. Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm the permissions
3. You'll see the Applyday checkmark icon appear in your Chrome toolbar (top-right)
4. Click the puzzle icon in Chrome and pin Applyday for easy access

Before using any features, set up your profile so Applyday knows your background. You have two options:

Option A: Import from Resume (Recommended)

1. Click the Applyday icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup
2. Go to the Profile tab
3. Click "Choose file" in the import box
4. Select your resume (PDF, DOCX, or TXT)
5. Wait 3-5 seconds — AI automatically extracts your name, email, skills, work history, and education
6. Review the pre-filled fields and fix anything that looks wrong
7. Click "Save profile"

Option B: Enter Manually

1. Scroll past the import section to the manual form
2. Fill in your personal info (name, email, phone, city)
3. Add your professional details (current title, years of experience, skills)
4. Write a brief experience summary
5. Click "Save profile"

Want to know if a job is worth applying to? Score Match tells you instantly.

1. Open any job posting (Greenhouse, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
2. Look for the Applyday toolbar at the bottom of the page
3. Click the green "Score Match" button
4. Wait 3-5 seconds while AI analyzes the job description against your profile
5. See your results: match score (0-100), matched keywords, skill gaps, and a verdict

Stop typing your name, email, and phone into every application. Let Applyday do it.

1. Open a job application form (click "Apply" on any job posting)
2. Click "Fill" on the Applyday toolbar
3. Your saved profile data fills into matching form fields instantly
4. Review the filled fields and make any adjustments

1. Open the job posting you want to apply to
2. Click "Resume" on the Applyday toolbar
3. Wait 5-10 seconds while GPT-4o analyzes the JD and rewrites your resume
4. See the preview with your ATS Score (keyword match percentage)
5. Click "Download PDF" to save a professional PDF
6. Upload the PDF to the job application form

1. Open the job posting
2. Click "Cover Letter" on the toolbar
3. Wait 5-8 seconds for AI to generate a 3-paragraph letter
4. Review the result — it uses your real work history and matches the company's needs
5. Click "Copy" to paste into the application, or "Download PDF" for a formatted version

1. Click "Ask" on the toolbar (or the chat bubble icon)
2. A chat modal opens with quick-action buttons
3. Click a preset question or type your own

On a job listing page with multiple postings? Let Applyday rank them all by how well they match your profile.

1. Go to a job listing page (e.g., a company careers page with multiple roles)
2. Click "Find Matches" on the toolbar
3. Choose a timeframe filter (Today, This week, etc.)
4. Applyday scans all visible jobs, sends them to AI, and ranks them by match score
5. Click any job title to open it directly

Many applications have open-ended questions like "Why do you want to work here?" Applyday can draft answers for you.

1. Open a job application form
2. Scroll to any open-ended text question (textarea fields)
3. Look for the "Generate answer" button that appears below the text box
4. Click it — AI writes a tailored response using the job description and your profile
5. Review and edit the answer before submitting

Track your job search progress and stay motivated.

1. Click the Applyday icon in your toolbar
2. Select the "Dashboard" tab
3. See your stats: jobs analyzed, good fits found, average match score
4. View your recent activity log
5. Use the Quick Job Sites launcher to jump to LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and more

The free plan gives you a taste. Pro removes all limits.

How to upgrade

1. Click "Upgrade to Pro" in the popup Dashboard or when you hit a usage limit
2. Complete payment on the secure checkout page (powered by LemonSqueezy)
3. You'll receive a license key via email
4. Open the Applyday popup → Dashboard tab → paste the license key → click "Activate"
5. That's it — unlimited access immediately
